bmi Selects Aerobytes

We are delighted to announce that bmi (formerly known as British Midland) has placed an order for Aerobytes FDM.

bmi (an existing GRAF and Permit user) has been assessing ways of modernising its FDM system, and after lengthy evaluations has chosen Aerobytes over rival products.

David Barry, bmi Flight Safety Manager, said:

"From our assessment of FDM systems currently available, it is clear that Aerobytes has a better understanding of what airlines with FDM programmes really need.

The Aerobytes FDM system is packed full with innovative features that not only save lots of time, but also present information much more clearly. In fact Aerobytes FDM makes many other systems look positively antiquated.

Even during a trial evaluation leading up to our order, we became reliant on Aerobytes FDM; the integrated animation with flight display and map views has helped us enormously when investigating incidents and de-briefing crews.

It appears that Aerobytes has set a new standard in FDM systems, and I am confident that we have selected the best system available to take FDM forward in bmi."

bmi operates a diverse fleet of aircraft including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer and Fokker types.
